Your tasks, timers, medication logs, mood entries and RSD journals are stored on your device — we never see them and they never leave your phone, except when you choose to use Body Double AI (explained below). FocusDrift has no user accounts, sells nothing about you, and asks for no personal information.
1. Who we are
FocusDrift ("the app", "we", "us") is an iOS productivity app built for people with ADHD. This policy explains what data the app handles and how. If you have any questions, contact us at hemanth9894@gmail.com.
2. Data stored on your device
Almost everything you create in FocusDrift is saved locally on your iPhone using Apple's on-device storage. This includes:
- Tasks and your "Now / Not Now" lists
- Focus timer sessions and history
- Medication entries and the times you log them
- Mood and energy check-ins
- RSD Shield journal entries and grounding-exercise activity
- Morning check-in responses
- App settings and preferences
This information stays on your device. We do not have a server that collects it, we cannot read it, and it is removed when you delete the app. If you have iCloud Backup enabled, your device backup may include this data — that backup is controlled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy, not by us.
3. Body Double AI
Body Double AI is an optional Pro feature. When — and only when — you actively use it, the short message you type and the name of the task you are working on are sent over an encrypted connection to our processing service, which forwards them to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a supportive response. The response is sent back to your device.
- We do not attach your name, email, device ID, or any account identifier to these messages — we have no account system.
- We do not store the content of your Body Double conversations on our servers.
- Messages processed through the Anthropic API are not used to train AI models, in line with Anthropic's commercial data-usage terms.
- Our service applies basic rate limiting to prevent abuse; this temporarily processes a coarse network identifier and does not personally identify you.
If you never open Body Double AI, no data ever leaves your device through this feature. Please don't enter information you wouldn't want processed by a third-party AI service (such as full names of other people, medical record numbers, or financial details).
4. Health-related information
FocusDrift lets you log medications, mood and emotional responses (RSD Shield). We treat this as sensitive. It is stored only on your device as described in Section 2. FocusDrift does not use Apple HealthKit, does not read or write to the Health app, and does not transmit your medication or mood data to us or anyone else. FocusDrift is a self-management tool and is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice — always consult a qualified professional about medication and treatment.
5. Subscriptions and payments
FocusDrift Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly, with a free trial). Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your card number, billing address, or Apple ID. Apple provides us only anonymous, aggregated sales and subscription reports. Payment processing is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
6. Analytics
FocusDrift may use privacy-respecting, anonymous usage analytics to understand which features are used and to improve the app (for example, how often a timer is started). These events are not linked to your identity and contain no content from your tasks, journals, or AI conversations. We do not use advertising trackers and we do not sell data to anyone.
7. What we never do
- We do not sell or rent your data.
- We do not show third-party advertising.
- We do not require you to create an account or give us your email.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
8. Children
FocusDrift is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
9. Your rights
Because your data lives on your device, you are in control of it. You can delete any entry inside the app, or remove everything at once by deleting the app from your iPhone. If you have questions about your data or this policy, email hemanth9894@gmail.com.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles data, we'll update this page and change the "last updated" date above. Significant changes will be noted in the app or its release notes.
